Ta-Nehisi Coates
Ta-Nehisi Coates is the author of We Were Eight Years in Power (2017), Between The World and Me (2015), and The Beautiful Struggle: A Father, Two Sons, and an Unlikely Road to Manhood (2008). He also writes the Black Panther comic book series. He is a 2015 MacArthur Foundation Fellow, recipient of a National Magazine Award and a George Polk Award, and in 2012-2013 he was the Martin Luther King Visiting Scholar in Writing at the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at MIT. In 2012 he was also awarded the Hillman Prize for Opinion and Analysis Journalism.
