Jeffrey Hoffeld

Jeffrey Hoffeld is an art dealer, art historian, writer, and a licensed psychoanalyst. He has served as assistant curator of Medieval Art and The Cloisters at the Metropolitan Museum, and as director of the Neuberger Museum at SUNY Purchase. He was an assistant professor of art history at Brooklyn College, as well as at SUNY Purchase, where he taught courses in medieval and modern art. During 2001-2003 he taught courses in medieval art at SUNY New Paltz. In addition to his graduate degrees in art history and his analytic training, which he completed in 2022, he earned an M.A. in creative writing from the English Department at NYU. He continues to do scholarly research, contribute essays to catalogues and other publications, and write short stories.
