David Plante

David Plante is a novelist. His work has appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, and other literary magazines. He is the author of Difficult Women (1983) and the Francoeur Trilogy, which includes The Family (1978), The Country (1980), and The Woods (1982). He was the recipient of a British Arts Council Grant in 1977, a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1983, and an American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters Award in 1983.
