David Mikics

David Mikics is the author of numerous books, including Slow Reading in a Hurried Age; The Annotated Emerson; and (with Stephen Burt) The Art of the Sonnet. His book Bellow's People was published by W.W. Norton in 2016. A columnist for Tablet, he lives in Brooklyn and Houston, where he is John and Rebecca Moores Professor in the Honors College and the English Department at the University of Houston.
