Anthony Gottlieb is a former Executive Editor of The Economist, now working on the history of ideas. In 2018-19 he was a fellow of All Souls College, Oxford. In 2012-13 he was a fellow at the New York Public Library's Cullman Center, and in 2013-14 a visiting fellow at All Souls College, Oxford. He is a member of the editorial board of Lapham's Quarterly, and is the series editor of The Routledge Guidebooks to the Great Books.
