Margo Jefferson
Margo Jefferson is the author of Negroland: A Memoir (Pantheon 2015) and On Michael Jackson (Pantheon, 2005). From 1993 to 2005 she was a cultural critic for The New York Times; she received a Pulitzer Prize in 1995. She has received Guggenheim and Rockefeller grants, and her essays have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies. She teaches in the writing program at Columbia University.
